John Burkett started his flooring career at age 13 attending to warehouse duties and sweeping floors at a store in New York. Quickly he moved up the ladder learning the retail and installation of floors. Due to his drive for success, John became one of the top craftsman in the Tri-state area and has worked with high-end clients such as Oscar De La Renta, Leona Helmsley and Ivana Trump. Frequently John will attend conventions on the mainland to ensure that Lei Floor and Window Coverings, Inc. always has the most up to date products for his clients. Being a hands-on employer John has personally taught the art of installation and takes pride in every job completed. John has lived in the Hawaiian Islands for over 20 years and resides on Maui with his wife and their two children. As a family they enjoy going to the beach, playing volleyball and being of service to their community.
